Bedroom Tax Row - Letters
16 September 2013

Living in abject poverty in the UK often leads to a hopeless sense of despair. But being frightened, depressed, anxious and generally sick to the stomach on top of suffering physical ailments as a direct result of the cultural and social abuse does not stop one being human. It does not stop one being able to see the crimes being committed by the authoritarian megalomaniacs in power.

A certain Mrs Raquel Rolnik visited the UK between 29 August 2013 and 11 September 2013. Raquel Rolnik is the United Nations Special Rapporteur on adequate housing and was here (in the UK) looking at the social housing situation in this country with particular respect to international human rights law. She produced an initial Press Statement which can be read first hand on the United Nations web site entitled "Press Statement by the United Nations Special Rapporteur on adequate housing: End mission to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, 29 August to 11 September 2013".

The report was measured, insightful, reasonable and fair ... but it did mention a possible breach of human rights regarding the "Bedroom Tax" issue. Wow! Did that upset the fascist government!

The insane response to this report by UK government officials (and the gutter press) was impressive in its vitriol and utter prejudicial bigotry. They were so frightened that someone might uncover their disgusting abuse that they couldn't contain their distress and anger.

So, checking my budget, I decided to write to my local MP to convey my utter shock and to copy the letter to 4 other relevant people.

THE FIVE LETTERS!

1.      Letter to Mark Simmonds (my local MP)
2. Letter to David Cameron who calls himself a Prime ... something - I forget the details.
3. Letter to Grant Shapps the grinning Monsanto mutant.
4. Letter to Ban Ki-moon the United Nations Secretary-General
5. Letter to Raquel Rolnik apologising for the disgraceful behaviour of my little upstart politicians.
