Dave wanted his diary published posthumously.  However he is too impatient for that and at his request I agreed to put his diary on the internet for free.

This diary is unabridged and authentic.  It is exactly as it was written at the time when there was no knowledge of how things would transpire.  It is valuable precisely because it contains the vulnerabilities, self doubt and failings that were all part of the story.  There is a remarkable naivety and self doubt that comes across in the story.  At times it is somewhat self indulgent and seems to drift around as if the author has lost the plot.  But there was no plot.  This is Dave's experience of the events and the subjective consequences of his life and the events in which he was immersed.  It was not originally written for anyone else to read and so is painfully honest and an important insight into the reality of being human.

The story is the journey of a man's struggle to maintain his integrity and his commitment to real life and love in a sea of distress, oppression and prejudice.  Dave was married to Marion and they had a daughter named Helen early in 1994.  Both Dave and Marion had significantly traumatic childhoods of their own.  What transpired was a dramatic and severe divorce where the child became a central issue for both parents.  This diary is a brilliant exposé of the prejudicial and oppressive mechanisms of the current culture in Britain.  It is a profound insight into the disastrous and destructive forces that the culture embodies and embraces.  It is a tortuous journey through emotional, psychological, financial and legal minefields of abuse.  There are catastrophes and profound successes.  I have my own views about this story but it is here for the purpose of honesty and authenticity in humanity's pursuit of finding a way to live successfully on this planet as the human beings that we are.

The diary began it's publication on 1 December 2008.  If there are any entries after that they are no longer innocent in the assumption that no one would read the diary until after Dave was dead.  But humanity's need to comprehend itself and to start to deal with the cultures it creates and the survival of humanity and planet Earth are urgent.  Honesty is the only way.  The Universe exists and comprehension of it has to be accurate to deal with it accurately.  Here is some Real Reality.
