Subject: About our meeting on 24 August
Hello George
I would like to apologise for the somewhat strong language and the inappropriate example I used in response to your point about me accepting that it was reasonable for the Children Services to investigate given the report from the nurse. I have been haunted by my outburst ever since. I did email Adrian with an apology and although I feel you are a little more accepting I still feel I want to express my regret for any discomfort caused.
I have thought about it and although I am as capable as any trooper of strong language it really wasn't very constructive in the circumstances. I had had virtually no sleep the night before and suffered most of the night with migraine. On account of that and another possibly serious medical problem which causes significant pain and anxiety I had taken many painkillers including dihydrocodeine. I notice it has the effect of making me a little light headed sometimes. This is no excuse but it may go some way to mitigate my language.
I haven't been able to contact Norman Teesdale yet but will do.
Wishing you well
Dave
